Ever get a sulking fish?

Lovely looking fish !

I agree, with everyone that has said Oscars ! I took the wife and kids to a garden center last weekend (As luck would have it, they had a fish store too lol) We had a look round and came to a tank full of around 20 baby oscars, that had just been delivered. Everyone of them was laying on the floor sulking. Me and the kids just stood there laughing at them, listening to everyone in the shop telling eachother how bad it was that there was a tank full of dying fish

Yep, I had a bully datnoid and everytime I put him by himself he would sulk, and would barely eat.

Yea but when he was in the tank terrorizing everyone else he would be happy. My gf would walk back and forth in front of the tank and he would follow her back and forth. But in a tank alone all you would see is his tail-end, at the bottom of the tank.

I have to say that the biggest sulker I have ever seen is my GSP. He will dig a hole and curl up in a ball and lay there if I make him angry. If he dosen't get his favorite food he will go and hide behind a powerhead for an hour or two before finally coming out and eating. Still an awesome fish, just gotta make sure he's happy. My male Salvini gets mad whenever I rearrange my chichlid tank. He will find the first cave he fits into and won't come out for days. He just digs and makes sure he spits all the gravel in a place to block my view of him.

Omg how true is this!!!. at 6-7" my oscar went through this period of what o cal eeyore syndrome. and for no freaking reason. no injury not change to the tank nothing he just started laying sidewyas ina corner and only came up to barely eat and back. colors faded i even put him for sale once cause he was so bad and then one day poof up and running like nothing. bright red color came back and well u cann see him in my last photo lounge entry. i even gave him a buddy and they are now paired off and should brred soon
