Gram. I think we all put alot of pride into our tanks. I'm Catholic, not practicing, but catholic. Many christians adorn their cars, homes, churches with statues. With the exeption of the church they serve as a reminder of a faith and yes they do "decorate" as well. So since your tank in not a staging ground for abuse and it is a "Shrine" to you and your hobby I see no reason to not use a Budda , Mary or Baby Jesus. Remember your tank is a thing of beauty to you and you treat it with respect and the animals within it. It's not a place you toss dirty laundry, get it?

I'm glad you and your friend had a civil debate on the issue... my opinion on the matter is this... I think it's funny that it even became an issue. We are a society of over-sensitive pu$$ies now. every slight, every comment, and every action is put under a microscope and analyzed to death. people are offended by everything these days. I see it in all facets of society now and it makes me laugh. I dont think you and your friend took it to the extremes I am talking about but the idea behind your post reminded me of how sensitive we all are to anything. i think im going to start a thread in the appropriate section for this sort of thing. haha, sorry for venting.
