IE: Keeping a cute little (5") Clarias catfish with a couple cape york rainbows(3"),
Putting afew Hoplosternum cats in with adult red eared turtles or even setting a 50 gallon tank on an uneven surface only to wake up and have to do a midnight rescue and cleaning. :screwy:
These are but a few of the mistakes I've made over the years in the hobby.
How about you people?

A cute small spotted puffer in a tank full of altum angels (mating pairs), oops.

Number of mistakes for me probably at about the one million mark by now. First mistake that randomly comes to mind; Leaving the tank hood open overnight on an aquarium full of hemiodus gracilus. A great way to wake up to a bunch of "dried sardines" on the floor.

I didn't close up a gap on my 130 gallon and my snakehead jumped out and dried out on the floor. He looked like a Boa I'm not quite sure what kind of snakehead that is but he cost me 120 bucks because I bought him about 6 months after they outlawed them.

getting started in this hobby lol

Cleaning my 55 gal, and forgeting it was draining  ...lost 75 bucks worth of fish....I was able to save 11 out of 18 fish! (mostley expensive rainbows died....)
(See my post: Fish NEED water to live... under LESSONS LEARNED)

Jen ;)

Bummer about the snakehead,he looked the part.I bought £400 worth (about $700) of topaz puffers that had been twice quarantined and put them in a mixed tank.Lost all puffers,3 dragon gobies 18",redtail tsn cross, favourite red tip sailfin plec to some sort of virus that even spread after 3 months from other tank occupants.A costly mistake I wont repeat.

My Dad was cleaning our pond (above ground) and left the tap water running...all but 2 koi lived out of 7 and the channels survived. Until a raccoon family killed what was left a few weeks later. I no longer have that pond. I'm thinking about building another one though :screwy:
