At first I was like *gaint shepard* I only heard of the Shiloh Shepherd, but then I looked it up and their the same. Also I still recomend the GSD as they are better gaurds.

Wolfhounds are pricey. Wirey hair. Kinda ugly. Laid back. Gentle.
How about a borzoi? Cool dogs. Long hair. Smart. They will run like hell once a day for 10 minutes and then lay around and look gorgeous for the rest of the day.
Newfoundlands are just awesome.
Be careful of who you get a shepard from if you get one. Lots of inbreeding has made them kinda unreliable.
