They sell paddlefish ? How big, and how much? Just curious.

Usual contaminants (as they're called) are tilapia, sunfish, various livebearers apart from guppies. They also sell tadpoles and crayfish which are native, but they are not mislabeled.

They sell them here for about 150€ (180$) at 30" :D Sadly I can't have one.

How big of a tank do you figure for an adult paddlefish? Not that I could have one with my setup, just wondering.

Paddle fish can be ordered from my local fishery for $40 at 14". I've been thinking about putting a few in my pond.

Goes by the name of "jacks" aquarium and pets in and around the columbus area. I used to hit up 3or more a day when i lived there lol...and yes paddlefish ;) saw them more than a couple times. Plenty other ohioans on here who frequent jacks.

ill have to keep the place in mind in case I'm ever in the area :). Not that they would survive the trip back to pittsburgh but just to look at them. Wish I lived in Ohio (favorite state), native keeping is incredible over there!

I find ghost shrimp. Native. I also always find small livebearers like green mollies. Native. There are also some native guppies that I find as feeders. I'm not sure of the common name..They are black with white spots or silver/white with black spots. The body is the shape of a common minnow. I've also found tiny cichlids as feeders too small for me to identify, but likely convicts.

Last time I was at the LFS for some ghost shrimp they had gotten a bunch of Madtoms and a couple 1" black bullheads in with their feeders. People snatched them all up right quick. Came back the next day and they'd all been bought.

Most likely an Eastern mosquitofish. The males of mosquitofish are usually silver/white with black spots. The tiny cichlids as feeders may be tilapias.
