Ever seen anything like it?

Hey guys, i just got this 65g tank and stand.The stand is fitted to the tank, and the bottom of the tank is drilled out. SO the only way i can get the tank out is by remove the pvc pieces on the bottom. Has anyone seen a tank stand like this? the stand is all one piece, the tank can only be slid into place.

Any ideas on how i could plug up the holes in the bottom? the hose thing that was on there leaks.

My 55 is like that except for the drilled part. It's my wife's favorite tank because it looks like an actual piece of furniture she says.

have 2 little squares of glass cut a stick them over the holes with a load of silicon , or plumb it up for use with a sump

Nice tank. It appears that you have a couple of choices. You can buy new plumbing, fittings and gaskets and set up your tank as a return and supply system with a sump or you can take the tank to a glass company and see if they can seal the holes for you or you can attempt to seal the holes yourself with pieces of glass and silicon. Either way you have a very nice tank. Good luck.

I would just buy new hardware and get it up and running. why do you want to seal up the holes?

who ever owned the tank used HOB filters and put a hose connecting the two fittings so that the pieces didnt leak water. The way i was thinking of closing them was two buy fittings with caps on the end with rubber gasket so no water leaked out.

Yeah I'd plumb in a sump, they are more efficient and quieter than the HOB. Either way you go, sweet looking tank.
