Ever seen this fish variation before?

There are several species called "silver dollars" commonly seen in the hobby, that's why common names are essentially worthless...
 
Anybody know how long they stay this red?

yeah but it's not that easy to raise the baby's. there are egg scatterers and have no problem eating their own you must remove the eggs and put them in a seperate tank. myth blue must be added as the fry will fungus very quickly without it. after that than it becomes easy with feedings of baby brine shrimp.
 
Its a female silverdollar. They do get red like that!
 
If its there this Monday I will add it to my redhook shoal and possibly also buy the 2 female he is with....
