My Oscar thinks oh yeah here comes the food, wait ... wait where you going you forgot to feed me. My Texas thinks you jerk just try sticking your hand in here I dare you as she smashes against the tank.
 
Always... My puffer loves watching what im doing, and its not always for food... Since when shes hungry she blows at the glass... Some times i catch her just sitting in the corner of her tank watching TV which i always find funny

Most of them get excited since they know me as the bringer of food, but my larger ID shark has a grudge against me for some reason. Every single time I open on the the lids he splashes me as much as possible.
 
my aro is in the living room so he spends all day chasing my daughter or the dogs around. he knows who i am without question
 
i think my underling cichlids dislike me for trapping them with the dominant male, but on the other hand they must like me when I feed them

Besides food they think about:
mating
territory
fleeing
got more but this is enough to prove you wrong.
 
my fish are probably saying "Godzilla!!!! Dayumm..No where to swim to...." or "Our Lord has come to take us to a new home with unlimited food supply and dont have to wait for food to rain..."
 
My flowerhorn most certainly knew who I was, only thing it didn't attack was me unless I was playing with her and making her charge at things. She would try to bite my dog through the glass and would always charge my then GF. Fish are smart little things

:ROFL: haha yeah i disagree fish have a lot of personality more then just food my fish watch me sometimes and they follow me around even after i feed them and they dont eat anymore
