I know this is an older post but the fish in question looks like a Mormyrus kannume to me also know as a Black Dolphin....

here is something............ i bought him june 24'th. still have to find out what it exactly is.... its probbably in the mormyrus family.

That is one unique looking fish..looks like knife fish also.

I love this thread so please add to it..it has taught me alot about the fish i do not see in any LFS stores near me.. please keep adding to it because always interesting and i love surprises..just because a fish is common in one area it can be rare in another area.. so keep those unusuals coming ..

I have no idea what kinda fish this is and i have never seen another one. I had it for about a year about 2 yrs ago.

Looks like a deformed Hypsophrys unimaculatus.
