my problem is my under tank heating pad dosn't get it quite up to temp, and i can't run the heat lamp unless im home because the roommates cat knocks it off or uses it to get into the tank. Any suggestions for alternative heating methods, i was thinking about just running two heating pads next to each other?

You can keep a leopard gecko in a 10 gallon glass aquarium. They're not that expensive. It's probably worth the $12 bucks they cost just to be on the safe side.

ya thats what I have, except I have about 10, 10 gallon tanks that I am not using. So I reused.

For the peron who asked if they had ever had a reptiled cooked by a heat rock, I have. When i was a nood to keeping reptiles I had a basalisk and it had a heat rock, i just thought he really liked to bask alot, he was eating fine and everything until one day I threw some crickets in and he didnt move, I thought he just want hungry wich was really odd because he normally snapped them up. He was always running around too, so I picked him up and he didnt move.

It was sad, I think heat rocks should be banned from sale, It may only happen to a few people, but still. Its going to keep happening.

But one good thing came out of it, I learned to research a heck of alot better!
