It's difficult to take you seriously when, despite being advised otherwise, you continue to whole-heartedly believe that this petition is the last & only hope for each & everyone involved.

I have never once stated this and I'm not sure how exactly you came to thinking I have. Bold and italic this time.

Not that your lame attempts to insult me fall very close to 'personal' as you haven't come even remotely close to describing an accurate reflection of me.

Also, I fail to see where anything I've written contains even the smallest amount of hypocrisy in comparison to the one-sided drivel that you feel compelled to constantly let roll off your keyboard.

You don't see any significance in the petition? Fine, that is your opinion. I see plenty of purpose within its existence, which is my opinion. You're opinion isn't necassarily the 'right' one & neither is mine. I could explain that principle to a 5yr old with some amount of confidence they will understand it. You, however, seem to be having trouble grasping the concept.

If the existence of this thread frustrates you that much, then leave. It's simple. Much alike your inability to accept an opinion other than that of your own.

well im sitting here laughing at this thread. and it looks like a i cant debate for sh i t. but i was just typing my mind at the time, and this dam will go ahead, and it will improve SEQ. and i only said "not everything is about lungfish" cause everyone was just posting "save the lungfish" or something similar. so im out of this thread and lets all u peeps be keyboard heros, unless anyone els wants to have a go at me??? im sure the next 3 posts or so will be about me being dumb. lol

Wow, a lot happened in here while I was sleep!

Ok then. I've read arguments for and against this project(away from all the finger wagging in here) and it seems to me that there is a general growing concern as to if the dam was built if it would work or not, fish/turtles aside.

I agree with the comments that online petitions are generally pointless and ignored but if you feel strongly about about something its better to do something rather than just let it happen.

The impression from what I've read on pro dam and against dam sites is that the project may not work in the end and I've seen many different time scales about when this may be built. It looks like it could get dragged out for years, correct me if I'm wrong.

This thread has turned into quiet a heated debate, and it is not a bad thing. Obviously those members have very strong views. At this point I would like to just continue with If you would like to sign, then by all means sign. Others that see it as pointless and a futile attempt, then no one is trying to twist your arm into doing so, just don't sign. But thank you to everyone who has had input to this and those who have signed the petition.
