I avoided a huge catastrophe today thanks to a little $30.00 piece of equipment. I awoke to a beeping noise about 4:30 this morning and I couldn't figure out what it was. I got up and it was coming from my 220gal tank and I though oohhh ****!!! I looked at my lifegard Big digital temp alert and my tank was up to 86F.
I had bumped my sump heater while doing tank maintanence last night and pegged one of my 300watt heaters. So thanks to this $30.00 device I saved around $600.00 in fish. EVERYONE BUY THIS THING!!!

now that I know where I had it set I lowered the alert temp to 82F from 84F so i can get a better jump on things next time. I also highly reccomend you keep 2 smaller heaters instead of one big one incase of heater failure or somthing like this. If I would of had a 600watt heater my fish would have been dead long before I heard the beeping..
