OK,
Since all of us here love our fish, and "most" of us love our fishing i decided to create a thread dedicated to freashwater fishing where people can post pics of their fish and how big etc.

Ill post first pics, lol i just wish i had a camera when i went up the river with a mate, walking bare foot through freezing water and we caught 7 trout! :grinyes:
but ill start off with some redfin/yellowfin pictures (called redfin in Aus)
I dont have any pics of me but i have some of my bro. Both fish are 1kg+, or 2lb+ in the old scale. And in the background, that is one of the fishing spots, a reservior about 25 minutes from home, BIG place!

Nah i think they are the same species.
They get real big down here, i guess its because they are the only fish in the water lol, introduced species :swear: no predators etc, and they are cannibalistic so i think that their main food is eachother haha. Oh and yabbies.

Here is a night photo of some that were caught, there were at least 30 of them (they must be killed, noxious fish etc)

walking on water???? amazing picture of that cool waterfall.

that trout is sweet. I assume the rest are just as top notch.

sweet trout

around here we catch the yellow perch on rooster tails during the summer and then a curly tail grub on a 1/16th ounce white jighead

ive never caught one with a nuchal hump like yours- not nearly as fat either but they dont have to compete for food with bass and pike in austrailia- do you catch anything else in austrailia?

Wow those are big yellow perch. Funny you mention there are no predators. Australia has lot of predatory fish especially Barramundi. It's funny because in the USA they are usually the ones getting eaten or stocked as food for game fish like bass.
