Fish tamer keep your noob advice to yourself! With your 20 gallon tank... o sure I guess baby plants do give off enough oxygen for a 20 gallon but where talking real tanks here id say stick with the small electric generators they can run for few hours until the power kicks back on then they will start charging again! you will never have to worry as long as the blackout doesnt last over 8 or 10 hours.

Yeah the Battery air pumps are a god send when a blackout occurs. You can even run some sponge filters on it so you have some decent filtration at a desperate time.
