excited about goldfish? new pickup!-)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I know all about excitement of buying goldies. I bought 9 comets yesterday to help cycle my 180 and I started giggling when I was watching them swim around. They are fun. I'm thinking I might get too attached to them if my dat doesn't eat them eventually, which he hasn't done yet.

Lovely looking guy you've got there. Saw probably the best selection of goldfish today checking out a new shop near us.

Thanks, I think we have to check out the other avenues of or hobby to keep it fresh!

Awesome lookin little guy, I've wanted to dedicate a tank to Ranchus for awhile now but just haven't had the room. As for phases the hobby does do that to you, I think it evolves over time more to reflect your true personality. At first you maybe attracted to flash, or thrill of something new and exciting like rare fish or aggressive fish when you get in the hobby then it evolves your reason for keeping the fish becomes more about reflecting who you are. Sometimes that leads you to keeping your rare, aggressive fish as they suit you or your choices become more goofy looking or more community oriented or it becomes about challenging yourself such as keeping hard to keep fish or breeding or maybe it becomes about sharing stories and experiences so you get fish the majority of other keepers have. In either case your choices usually start to change as you find what you really want from the hobby, which is when it really becomes a great way to express yourself and relax, find your zen; your inner peace.

Cheers bud... kinda contemplating changing up the big tank somewhat, at least adding new deco, substrate again and reducing stock.
