If you continue to teach your fish to jump for food eventually he is going to jump out completly and either get harmed from the fall or do it when you are not around and dry up.

I didnt teach him... the title is a bit of a joke. They just kinda do it... they jump against the food container tryin to knock it out of my hand. I had one jump out already when it missed the container... but luckily i caught it in mid air...
I keep the top weighted down just in case...
