Hey Everyone,

As you may have seen my last topic on looking for a show reptile as well a it being handable...after reading everyones posts i will probably attend the show...talk to vendors and see what I think is best for me.

However i would like to take this oppurtunity to buy a very nice looking professional tank. These tanks too me look like very "display like"...so i want to see what you guys think which is best and why.

So far based on looks...i really like the exo terra...but lets see.

I have the 12x12x18 zoo med and the 36x18x18 exo terra. It may just be the length of it as opposed to the shorter zoo med, but on the exo the strip of plastic above the doors sags down a bit if you put weight on it, and generally just feels flimsy. Again, this might just be the length of the plastic making this happen. While they do look good, and front access is nice, they are way overpriced, and if I could go back in time and build a wooden cage or buy one I would.

I wouldnt call either one of those tanks professional, they just have more of a commercial appeal. There are much much better choices out there.

I use Both Brands.. Both have Pros and Cons
Single Doors Offer Better views while offering Less protection against escapes when Opened

I usually get mine at NARBC when they are offered cheaper or buy second hand.

Both Brands the Plastic will sag over 18". No problem really.

I don't use any of the accessories so the added stuff in Exo Terra is a waste anyways.

I gave up Aquariums in order to be able to clean front glass and feed easier

they are not worth the money. $100 more for a less functtional tank...

Hey everyone, i went to the expo and saw the exo terra cages and were at good prices however im now going with the exo terra rand... Just because the zoo med does not offer the 24inch long size...

Im going with the 24x18x18 or the 24x18x24....just gotta put a sample box on the stand i have to see what it looks like lol
