i dont know if this would work but it works for guppies. i bought it at petco but couldnt find the link so i made this terrible, terrible drawing...i dont know much about exodons but if your able to find a pregnant female you can put her alone in the chamber. Then an airline hooks to the chamber and blows bubbles into the top of the water creating a downward current which helps to push the eggs down. guppies were live bearers so i dont know if it will work for eggs also. just my idea though, i figured id throw it out there...

i actually don't know what a pregnant exodon looks like, they swim so fast that you cant really pin point one and even if you could its hard enough trying to net it since they will zip around the tank knocking their heads against the glass. that is a really good method for breeding less "wild" fish though.

UPDATE: experiment was a flopp... the exodons spend all their time tryna fight the current rather than eat or mate... they all just looked like guppies swimming against a waterfall. rather tiring to watch... :( mission failed.

i read somewhere that someone bred them in a tank that was mostly moss i will try to find it

yea they had that same info on phoenixfire, thats why everybody sets up their exodon tanks with the load of plants. but i think its a far claim since not 1 person since then has claimed success with that extremely copied set up. so now im tryna go the wild route on my other thread as you saw and i really feel good about that :) (not that i didn't about this idea but the wild is always more plausible than the lab)
