I saw exodons at the lfs for like $7 and I think that is a good deal. Can I put a few of them in a 29 gal? I don't think Ive ever seen a exodon more than 4-5 in. Also what do you guys think I should feed them? Bloodworms? Beefheart? Krill? let me know what you guys think.

You need to have 12 or more. They are a schooling fish and fall too stress mortality when kept in singles as well as picking on the weakest fish when housed in small groups.

I woundn't suggest putting any in your 29. That tank is to small for a group of exodons.

I have seen them kept singaly with out any ill effects.

Like Havey I would suggest a group of a least 12 or more. I had a friend who tried to keep 8 in a 30 long and they just slowly killed each other until the biggest and strongest one was left which he still has.

I have 4 in my 75g with an O an Aro and a cats, and havn't had any dead or any any nbipped fins on any other fish.

A 75 is a differen't story when wanting to keep these guys. dmarinko wants to keep some in a 29. In a 75 it would be possible to keep a small group. Each fish has plenty of space and places to hid if they want to get away from each other.
