Like the titles says, I’m looking for a bottom scavenger that can withstand exodons, but won’t eat them either. I was thinking maybe a Rafael but other ideas or input is appreciated

A Raphael would definitely be a good pick for a "safe" scavenger as the other fish would rarely see it since they mostly come out of hiding late at night, long after the lights have been shut off.My pick would be a jaguar catfish.....different look but same habits.

Do jags have similar armor to a Rafael?

I suggest a hide for the Raphael catfish or the Exodons will stress it to death. I have Catfish that mostly are visible after dark but I’m ok with that. Some like to see the catfish and don't provide a hiding place to me that's cruel.
It would definitely have a hide, it seems the exos don’t eat any food that falls past the midpoint, so I just need something to clean up the bottom a little

I think the Modesta Botia Loach or the Tiger "S. Helodes" Botia would work well as scavenger tankmates for Exodons.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Tigers occassionlly attacked the Exo's. Lol.

Really? I would’ve thought exos would rip up a loach, I might look into those thanks
