I find it odd to see the minimum number is 25. Is there any explanation why? Why cannot it be lower, possibly 6-10?hybridtheoryd16;2639858; said:The minimum would be about 25 and the max would be about 50.
Sorry i should have stated that those were my opinions only and not standard numbers. But for your question, It has been my experience with these little guys that if you do not pack them in a tank they will fight non-stop and eventually kill each other. I had a shoal of 20 in a 40g years ago and they would fight some. But recently I asked my lfs to order me some and they got in 5. So I bought them and stuck them in a 20g and they killed one that night. The next day i stuck the remaining 4 in a 10g and they are fine. If i was doing a 55g standard i would stock no less than 25. I have allways heard the rule thrown around that you need half the exo's for the gallon tank they are in. 10 in a 20- 20 in a 40- 22.5 in a 55g-etc-etc. And that is a minimum.Lupin;2639872; said:I find it odd to see the minimum number is 25.
