Exotics and Fish

A basalisk was my first ever herp.
I was six years old, and just had my birthday I complained about wanting "a lizard" for months. LRS worker told my mom it woud make a great pet, gave us a 10G, some calci-sand, heat rock, and a heat lamp, aswell as a very tiny water bowl....

Needless to say, it died a week later. I cried, and cried, and cried some more. I think its what really got me into herps though, and dedicated to keeping them correctly..

Sorr for derailing, but I would deff. get a basalisk, or a Chinese Water Dragon. Wish you luck in your project, and hope it turns out great for you!

Are you all sure that a basilisk wont eat my fish? I just read that the chines dragon will?

I dont think they would if theyre well-fed. The certainly CAN, but it takes a lot of energy and shouldnt be worth their time if you keep them healthy. If its deep and theres plenty of room, the fish have no problem getting away, which they probably wont have to.

That goes for both, but I still think a basilisk would be better for your enclosure because of its great display quality and it goes along with your amazon theme.

If you don't fancy the basilisk get the CWD?

Haven't read the whole thread but if you have the space an iggy would make a great display animal...they poo for england though..

Hmmm, define shallow water! 27"? He better not eat my neons!!!!

When neons are dime a trillion?
