I think the reasons people don't post about regular dogs and cats here is that they know they're not considered exotics. I have seen a few posts about Bengals and the more exotic cats though.

I don't mind subforum for the common household pets Dog/cats/birds though as I'm pretty sure half the members have either a dog or cat.

the only way i can see it splitting is if there is enought traffic/activies in that sp. go make it active.... and we will revisit it soon

When i said what i said , i said because i really think that this website by it's title should hold the issues and topics as implied .. i know there are other posts though m still new here , like reptiles ,but shouldn't we work on making it stricktly fishy?! and i think there is specialized sites for cat ,dogs and birds lovers out there ... And i dont mean to offend anyone ,they are swell pets and i kept some for years !
