oh well in the first place u should have not put those guys with a fh specially that size the fact the u saw them being picked a lot was a sign for you to take them of from there.lucas2;1159666; said:I bought 4 frontosa (1 to 1.5") at my lfs today and brought them home to my mixed cichlid tank.I put them in about 8 hours ago and everything seemed OK, they were getting picked on alot, but this seems pretty normal for their first day. Well just now I looked at the tank, and my 6" flowerhorn has one blue little tail hanging out of his mouth
I feel really bad because these guys were really cute and I really wanted to keep them. Not to mention the fact that I could buy 150 goldfish for the price of one.
oh right on didnt know the name of him.. it was listed as freshwater morray eel. and i was told to keep it brackish. the knife was no less than 6 inches. i was lookin for a pic earlier but i still cant find one. well he didnt completely finish off the knife i later found some bits and pieces in some rocks.. he also could have munched parts of him and just some pieces were under rocks.not much tho. and he didnt eat my pleco, i should have been clearer.. he had him in his mouth trying to eat him, i reached in and made him spit him out. the pleco survived but has scars on his face. all in all he still just about cept for some tiny parts, ate him. so i sorta stand corrected as wellDruu;1159981; said:Snowflake morays are marine. What you have is Gymnothorax tile, so I stand corrected. Hard to picture an 11" fish that consumes several rams, a 7" knife and a pleco. A little exaggeration on your part then?
haha i wish i had a pic of that i had a pic of the knife is what i was lookin for. it was bout a year or so ago so its hard to find. i was so in shock you have no idea.. my knife was like my baby, and my pleco! have u ever heard of a eel eating a pleco?! i knew no one would believe me! lol wanted to stab my eel. he died shortly after.. (i live with immature jealous excuses for human beings who picked my lock went into my room and stole things..and put soap in my tank) not the only time it happend either. talk about expensive feeders... feeders to the toilet after all the soapingsDruu;1159994; said:I just googled "freshwater moray eel" and got a site that showed two moray species that are brackish but can survive in fresh. The first moray on the site looked like yours but with bolder colors, I'm thinking keeping them in ideal water does that? Anyhow, I'm still interested in the pic of your fat moray if you can find it. I'm imagining a stuffed sausage.. with fangs
