I mentioned a few months ago that I wanted to add a refugium for Copepods aka cyclops. Well finally started last month by adding a few sprigs of java moss and copepods from a culture container. Well after some observations of the breeder box weekly noticed a increase of copepods. Yesterday using magnifying glass found 2 copepods on the aquarium glass. That's a definite indication the larvae and adult cyclops are entering aquarium via breeder box. Surprisingly the moss is growing with the low light its receiving from the aquarium. I don't feed the breeder box.

Update observed copepod larvae on the aquarium glass. My wife gave me a magnifying glass with 3 different lenses. If I combine 2 or 3 of the lenses it's like using a microscope. I don't know why she gave me the wonderful tool lol.

Not the same but...
I went through an au naturel stage and added scuds to one of my tanks about 7 years ago... fast forward to today and every tank I own has scuds in it. It wouldn't surprise me if they lived in the back of my toilet. The things are everywhere!
