Exploding 29 gal tank.... :(

A friend of mine gave me a 29 gallon tank today, so I went to my lfs and got a filter and some fish to cycle it. Anyway, I filled it and it was bowing a lil bit. It didn't burst in my test fill, so I thought it would be fine, but I was wrong! It exploded and my floor was soaked and goldfish were flopping around everywhere. Fortunately the only thing that was still really nasty after cleanup was a polypropylene rug that I can hose off and dry in the sun tomorrow.

Wow...that sucks man....I hate it when 1 gallon of water spills, and 29! That will drive me crazy.
 
hmmm.. never seen a 29 bow before... atleast it was only 29 gallons of basicly tap water....

still not something i want happening in my house...
 
It was pretty annoying. I live on the second floor and the water leaked through onto some sort of yoga/meditation class in the middle of a session. I felt bad, but it was kinda funny.
