Extinct creatures

Gigantopithecus blacki is one of my all-time favorites. They are only known from a few bones that were found, but we can speculate a bit on the life they lead based on some better-known relatives of theirs.

G. blacki was the largest primate that every existed. Standing nine foot tall, this giant hailed from the rainforests of south east Asia, where they grew to their epic proportions on a strictly herbivorous diet, composed mostly of bamboo.

Now we're talkin! Wow that giant bamboo eating ape is crazy! Never heard of that one before. The reason I asked for pics or links is I tried looking up that grizzly but didn't see it.

Giant bamboo eating ape LOL! It's amazing how they know all of that from collecting a "few bones".

we still have them in the mountains of Asia, they call them "Yeti" :)

How about a Zeuglodon, the ancestor of our present day whales???
