Extra room in eheim 2215???

I used all the media that came with my Eheim 2215 and took out the carbon pad after ten days. I am noticing there is about an inch of room at the top. Is it possible to put some more substrate pro in or some scrubbies or is it made to have that extra inch or so of room ?

Good idea. The filter is using substrate pro now but I would have to buy another big box to get some unless they sell hand fulls of the stuff. What BIO media would you use ?

Move the fine pad to where the carbon was and the add more Ehfisubstrat.

I got the fine pad in there I only removed the carbon pad but im noticing alot of room in there...

I just checked and there is literally 2" of room in there. Is this normal? It has all the media it came with minus the carbon pad which was probably only 1/4 inch anyways

does your media sit in removable trays like in my pro3 ??? if it does then you may have a tray missing ,, just a thought , as my trays that stack in my pro 3 are about 2 inches high

The "classics" do not have trays.
