Extra room in eheim 2215???

Howdy,

You should have two screens in your 2215: The bottom one points with its legs down, the top one points with its legs up. If that's in place, then simply use a flashlight and shine thru the assembled canister to see how much room you really have. You can top it off with substrat pro or floss (make sure no floss gets into the impeller unit).

Thanks HarleyK I checked I got about 1.5 inches of room. Im taking it apart tonight to back flush its still quite clean but I bought some substrate pro if theres extra room. If I got extra substrate pro it will go in my aqua clear 50 (the bio media in there is only a week old and I got the other filters well established on it) I would just rather have substrate pro in my aqua clear compared to what they give us ya know ?
