That's good. The last picture he his pointed up.That's the pic turned, and not him,I think(hope).

Melafix and Pimafix aren't worth wasting your money on. He has internal parasites as well as some nasty fin rot,and what looks like ick too. I would get some Jungle Parasite clear to start. You can get it at Wal Mart if there are no LFS open. I would get it tonight. I would do a large water change before adding it. Then follow the directions on the box. If he starts to look better, and makes it through the treatment, continue with the water changes and the salt until he looks normal again.

Good Luck.
Also get some Maracyn Plus asap. Don't think wal mart carries it though.

I won't lie to you, those pix look terrible . . . whatevery you are doing now itsn't working . . .

I would try Jungle Parasite Clear . . . Melafix/Pimafix are crap, you might as well burn incense and make incantations . . . try a full treatment of JPL and you might fix the problem

what are you feeding your GT?

I agree that it sounds like your fish has some sort of parasite by your description of the fish having stringy white stuff hanging out his rear-end... so definitely look into some of the Internal parasite meds coz your fish sure looks like its not doing too well right now...

Also, be sure to take out any carbon filters you have as it will most likely neutralize the meds you put in your tank...

I would recommend the higher temps 85-87 degrees as it speeds up the life cycle of ich and your fish immune system.

Then add the aquarium salt. It helps keep proper electrolyte balances, adds new minerals that otherwise do not get replaced, and helps with osmoregulation.

the first two will help the ich problem.

The medication once I got home and looked at the box is metronidazole. This will clean your guy out of internal parasite and is safe for freshwater. Future warning never use this on your reef system if you ever setup one. This antibiotic is used on humans, dogs and fish etc.

I personally like Melafix if you know how to use it. It is good in helping the healing process of war wounds, damaged fins and tails. It is not good for ich and stuff like that. Melafix will be good if your fish survives and to help his cosmetic damages heal faster.
I also like to add it when I transfer fish from quarantine tanks to other tanks or when adding new fish etc as a preventative measure.

Also your best friend with all these water changes is prime.

Thanks for all your help guys ive done as much as i can for him tonight but i doubt ill see him in the morning. This is Rod Burgundy saying, you stay classy Mfk

He Tanked he was active around 2 hours ago but hes just barrel rolling now. Euthanasia is more humane then watching this. I gave him the best life i could offer i guess thats what counts
