Eye Biter Pics.

Yeah I agree, it's definitely not an eyebiter, but they are some kind of dimidiochromis species though. It has red on it shoulders, so I'm positive that it's a strigatus. Nice!!!! They are even more rare than the common eyebiters.

well I was just going with "EYE BITER"? the fish shop had "BLUE DIMIDIOCHROMIS" on the tank.

most eyebiters i've seen were greyish/silvery...but maybe thats because they were still small. yours looks awsome though! gonna be a real monster!

These are most likely to be strigatus. Strigatus have red on their sides which gives you a hint. There are only 4 species of dimidiochromis and yours is strigatus hands down. :headbang2

Hey hutch, you think that bolty's fish is a Comp? It looks more of a strigatus to me. Comps don't have the red on their sides whereas the strigatus do. His male's coloration is totally different from a comp, that's why I was confused if it was even a comp or a different species.
