Another ID please!

Looks like an eyebiter, but I don't think it is, looks like a compressi calvus, but the head is half of the body size and no dots on the body...

What is this fish beside the flagtail?

Thank you! :D

Where did you get this fish? I believe the fish is a pyxichromis orthostoma which come from lake nawampasa, a satellite lake north of lake victoria. They are a very piscavorous victorian species. These fish are an ambush predator and will try to snatch fish into its huge mouth which explains the big head. They are quite a rare species.

I got it from a fish store that is specialize in cichlid

This comes from a tank of cichlid that were named "Unknow Cichlid" $4.99 each, I thought its cool and just bought it

The owner did mention it's some kind of Victorian and some Hap species.. but honestly, I know nothing about African Cichlid, so I am hoping I can get an ID of this fish

;)

Sweet fish! It has a similar body configuration to my "Eye-biters" when I had some. But mine had a lot brighter coloration. Probably not the same, but related?
