Ive never heard of them before but the second pic is identical

The females will stay a dull color while the male will sometimes display a little red and maybe even some slight green. And from the looks of it, fishes33 has a female. These fish aren't your everyday cichlid and are quite rare. I plan to get a group someday for their piscavorous behavior.

i dont believe its a compressiseps- im not even sure if that is an african rift lake cichlid. i think the last guy above me to id it got it right..
