Apologies for the double posting, had posted this under the snakehead section but thinking about it it makes more sense to post it here:

I've had this snakehead for around 6 months now and over this period a small white dot between the pupil and the outer layer of one of his eyes has turned into a spiral shaped bigger white thing (struggling to describe it a little!).

The pictures below are a bit blurry as the water is murky from some new bog wood I added to the tank.

He's in a 140g tank, ammonia and nitrites are nil and there <20 nitrate.

I've done a load of looking around here and in the disease section but could not find anything that seems to be the same so thought I'd ask you guys!

were you able to cure the eye issue? I have one of my fish with what appears to be the same or similar problem with one eye.

I'm no expert, but we have had fish who have gotten white eyes. Although based on your pics, as you said above, this looks a little different from the typical white eye issues. When our fish have gotten white eyes it's usually a bacterial infection due to injury or something. As far as I know, there are two ways to go about treating this... adding more salt to your water should clear it up or they do have the bacterial treatments for fish. I'd probably try salt first. It's worked for us. Good luck witht that beautiful monster!
