Hello Guys, I need some help quick! My flowerhorn is about 5 years old and about three weeks ago, his eyes started to swell up very bad. It is about 3 times it regular size. It is also white and hazy. I did a bunch of 50% water changes, aerated the tank, added melafix, aquarium salt, the blue drops called the "quick cure" and he is still not getting any better. I did the treatments till I ran out of the medicine and also followed up with weekly water changes. I started doing all of those things 3 weeks ago when I noticed he was sick and so far its been 3 weeks and he is not getting any better. Its been so painful to see him like this...I wish I could just put a bullet through his brain to stop his suffering....PLEASE HELP!!!
Here is how he looks like, this side is the worst.

HELP!!!
I don't know what to do and I hope it is not too late...but if it is, what is the best way to send him to heaven. I can't take this anymore!

Thank you for the response...
I will continue to try and get him back to health if I can....I know I'm being selfish...but I just love him so much...
I bought maracyn 2 and some more mela fix. Also, I have been using epsom salt instead of the aquarium salt that I normally use. I will let you guys know how things go.

Post your water parameters! Looks like severe popeye caused by high levels of ammonia. How often do you do water changes? What %? Whats the temp in the tank? I need more information, especially those parameters.

one of the worts Pop Eyes I have seen, coupled with a severe bacterial infection. He is a goner, sorry, Evo!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO SAMEER3600 FOR WINNING "FISH OF THE YEAR!"

This is way beyond Melafix's capabilities. Either big gun antibiotics or clove oil(euthanasia) is needed at this point.

Epsom salt is not the same as aquarium salt. It's not poisonous but you really need to see what your water parameters are.

Clove oil is available at health food stores like Whole Foods. http://www.oscarfishlover.com/helpful-articles/euthanize-fish

With smaller fish I've put them in a plastic bag and slammed them against the wall hard as I could. Not very nice but effective.

It ist he bag and slam method. Still the most effective, imo.

You have to not think about once you decide to do it.

Bag, and hard and quick bang against the wall or floo. It is immediate.

Of course it is hard and hearbreaking to o.
