Yes, it does. Most fish depending on the species tend to be more or less colorful depending on how they were bred. Size also makes a difference. Most captive bred fish are bigger or smaller than the wild ones depending on how they were raised.
 
Actually, the answer is it depends where you get them.;) How they were raised influences the outcome of how they look.
 
no necessarily better, just less diluted from what a wild specimen should look like. Some people say this is better in certain fish (apistos are often prized for their closeness to wild relatives) and others aren't (discus: the captive bred strains are generally considered to be prettier, even though the wilds have their fans... plus wilds are harder to keep)
 
Question.....

Would these both be correct?

F0 + F0 = F1

F0 + F1 = F1

You know what I mean? If I take a wild caught and one
that's been farm raised would it still make it F1?

I've never really understood..
