Nothing was said about the JD collection only the yellow labridens it is really funny how critics still keep coming. The fact is these fish were collected legally are exactly as advertised from the beginning, you dont know me but express all types of doubts and speculations. A fact is something that is true and can be proven as such but all I hear is opinions based on RUMORS that were started on this thread. I have facts which have been shared with other vendors on this site they know these fish are EXACTLY WHAT I SAY THEY ARE. The substantial credentials of my sources are unimpeachable that is why you he was called the Florida guy and not by name. He has personally responded to doubters on this forum. What are your real motives here??? Please share the FACTS you have to back up what you are saying, please prove that I have misrepresented the claims about my fish...you know "with facts". My reputation speaks for itself you can try as hard as you want to taint it. Integrity is something you have or you dont and cant be taken away by mud slingers, members here are intellegent they see and know what you are trying to do, they are disgusted that some people use this forum this way and express it in the many pms I have recieved recently. I have been a hobbists for decades and have always loved talking, reading and leaning about fish. You guys have shown me the dark side and this will be my last post in response. Enjoy Thanksgiving and say a quick prayer for our troops who are in harms way.

... just trying to get a straight story...

So the fish are from Don Conkel.

But he collected them some other time than 2008.

Which begs the question: When was the last time someone collected in that part of Mexico?

Then when were the jacks collected?

Why don't you ask Don Conkel? He was the one who collected them! You claim you were just making your claims out of curiousity, and yet you keep on bringing back the subject of whether or not the fish are wild. Why not just call up Conkel and tell him he's a liar? And FYI he has set up establishments in Central and South America, including Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Mexico. He is working with these governments and various other agencies to conserve these fish, and clean up their waterways. In his agreement with these countries, he is allowed to export a certain amount of fish. If you would like him to elaborate on this a bit more, as you ask more questions than an interrigator, I'm sure he would be more than happy to explain his operations. Or you can just contact someone you know who was at last weekends Ohio Cichlid Extravaganza, and let them explain the huge presentation he did. Again please get your facts straight, and learn to ask the right person before you open your mouth. Like I said in your last thread, I really am sick of the discussion on this topic. Man up and just let it go, you were wrong!

Wrong about what? Having incomplete information?

Now that I know the fish are from Don I will ask him...

Matt

I really don't understand your quest for all this information! And I may be wrong, but my interpretation from all of your comments is that you DO NOT think these fish are wild. Otherwise why all the questioning? I hope that with you contacting Don Conkel this will be the end of your epic journey to find out if the JD's are really wild. My thoughts are that you handled this thing rather immaturely. All your questions could have been easily answered with a pm to the source. Instead you publicly question the integrity of the seller, which whether you meant to or not is a showing of disrespect.

..because I, of course, was the only one with questions, right???

No, because YOU are the one who keeps going with this topic. Once you have gotten you info from Conkel, please reply back with your findings. Otherwise it would be best for everyone to restrain for commenting on this subject again.
