This thread has become absurd. The defensive nature of some individuals has caused them to infer slights that aren't there and to openly attack otherwise well intentioned posters.

No one impugned the seller or his integrity, but that has been taken as a given. No one insulted the OP originally, but questions about a supplier were taken as an insult by the OP.

Now, the "victims" are slinging accusations about other vendors. Very loosely...

If the fish had been identified as DCT fish back on page one, when the questions were asked none of this would have happened. Why in the world would that be sensitive information?

Many have stated, F0 Dempseys are rare, if you have found a legit source congratts, and please let us know the source... It's sad you can't take the compliment and answer the question. Instead you have to fabricate accusations about Ira as well as make unjust accusations of others.


Just for reference, I did not read anyone here suggesting Ira is untrustworthy... I only read people acknowledging that F0 Dempseys are rare and asking for verification of their F0 status... and asking someone to verify a claim is common sense, not a malicious accusation...

Pretty small jacks to have been collected wild in 08 would figure a fish that was at least a year old would be bigger. How big are yours?

Actually wild jacks don't get that large at all; I read it in a Cichlid News article in 2008 about jacks in the cenote escondido and on top of that they aren't the fastest growing fish out there.

We still don't know when the jacks were collected - 2008 Was when other fish (labridens) were collected, I think
