See, these are how JD's ought to look. Captive strains have hunchbacks, eyes that don't exactly fit their sockets, inability to handle themselves in the water. These look like proper fish. Bolt upright in the water, alert, proportionate eyes, straight back. I'm feeling like taking a trip down south...
