I will buy anything that Boettner has dealt with lol the man clearly has a better understanding of cichla and rays then most of the people on the form. The man also has good connections lol

Just to clear this up for a newb...

These fish are highly desirable because Rio Negro is in Brazil and you can no longer export fish from there? Ergo, WC specimens are no longer available currently? Thanks.
 
^^^^That and the bars on a RN are generally perfect circles. THey have a really clean look to their markings.

U know 100% that Are no rio negro in anyone's tanks anywhere???? Plus just cause it doesn't have the perfect circle occellt doesn't mean it's not rio negro. That's like saying a German Shepard isn't A true German Shepard because it doesn't look like the ones you see in movies. Well no kidding each one is going to keep different traits from the parents just like fish!!!
