Not sure exactly how big they get but I know that they get quite a bit bigger than that. Maybe 14" - 16"

Nice! What does he eat? I am feeding regular hikari pellets and mixing in some Omega One Algae pellets also. Wondering if this is a good diet for pearsi?

They are supposed to be almost exclusive vegetarians - mine loved romaine lettuce hearts.

lol mine a pig! i feed him mainly sinking pellets. but i use 2 types of pellets, ones for ominvors and one for herbavors. ill have to get back to u with the names. im at work and cant remember what they are called other then one in a red can and the other in a green. lol also 2 times a week i feed him a slice of zukine (sorry for spelling, work place want allow the spell check.. damn baracuda) every once in a while for treats i feed blood worms and brime shrimp even some danios every now and then...lol . but as i said before mine a lil piggy and he'll eat anything i throw in the tank.

fantastic photo quality and superb Pearsei's you've got there.
They are quite rare here in the U.K. And i was lucky to find a wild one when i was going on a random fish tour with a mate. will instantly buy more - when more are available because there one of my favourite fish, due to their 'laid-back' temperment and their unique look.

my Pearsei eats anything and it is always wanting more. their appitites are quite amazing. i would go as far as to say they are greedier than OSCARS. i feed mine cichlid gold pellets. frozen bloodworms, mussel, earthworms and lettuce leaves.
