Hope so. I am keeping him/her either way. Cool fish with tons of personality and never once have I seen this Oscar hid or get scared, no matter who comes in the room. Even while cleaning the tank he is begging for food the whole time.

Nice photos everyone. I'm very interested in seeing how these oscars color up as I spawned them. The wild breeder male has fantastic color. He's a monster over 12" now. Keep me posted with updated photos as they grow.

Good deal. It looks from the photos that they are showing the spots at the base of the dorsal fin. I was wondering if they would have that trait.

they are showing that real good on some...one of them has like 3 or 4 of them down one side. I think the more they breed out of the wild the more those spots go away....but these are F1's

I have one as well and he has the dorsal spotting and his color pattern is evolving still even at 6". I'd forgotten how much these pigs eat!
