F3 Black Diamond Stingray Pair!!!

My old F2 black diamond pair just gave birth at my friends place! Their very first litter! 2 pcs BD. Size of parents are 16 inch female and 14 inch male. Pups are currently 2.5-3 inch. A little small but we will do our best to get them eating.

This is the group after arriving in Canada on June 16, 2011. Basically took 2 years including pregnancy for pups to arrive! Relatively quick for black rays!!!

Here are 2 more pics!!! I transferred them into a floating tub for now. Their own tank will be setup for them once they start eating in the tub. Hopefully by the weekend. Chubby 4 inch pups born last night! Luckily the 2 females made it through the night without getting eaten and are in mint condition this morning. Gluck to Gary!!!

Most F2 bds I hsve seen are great and highly sought after.
these will hopefully turn out to be great looking also

How big was the female? See much pup movement before birth?

Yup F2 BDs are quite nice! These are products of F2 parents so I hope they turn out really nice!

I went over just 3 weeks ago and didn't see movements! Couldn't really notice quite honestly! I bred a marble before and I can see crazy movements. I thought she was just fat lol. No experience in black ray keeping. Maybe with the second batch, hopefully with more pups, it will be easier to tell with her. She is 16 inch disc. Male is 14 inch.

Jojo, I regret selling this pair lol. I sold them at the same size 14 and 16 inch. I guess shortly after they bred.On the plus side, I'm glad that my friend lives 10 mins so I can frequently visit. Now that he has pups, I'll be over more often! There looks to be mite marks on the female so we're hoping the job got done after she gave birth! We will know in a few months!
