I agree, that fish is incredible. But is that really a lyonsi threatening with that trimac? Not exactly certain what it is, but I would of thought maybe an "exCichlasoma" bocourti.

This is a really cool thread; lots of great pictures ---- I especially like the pics from Greenterra and cchhcc.

Looks like a Bocourti flaring at a Lyonsi.

Lyonsi.

No, that's definately a Trimac. It's got the red on the breast, a black spot below it's eye, and the large black spot ( encircled with blue) higher up cose to the head.

Originaly, I thought you were referring to the other fish, as i have never seen a picture of a ocourti wih such nice and bright colors.
