Shape is totally different.

Agreed, shape is round. Looks to be a freshwater river/lake ray but not one I am familiar with. Was hoping to see the tail, thought maybe a hugeTiger with the pattern stretched out because of size. Just a guess though.

I just hope they at least eat it or use it in some way and not throw it off to the side.
 
That's it!! I will have to sell all my Pearl rays if they get that big..LOL!!

Beautiful Stingray, to have retained such a bold pattern at that size is just amazing, I would definitely put it in the genus of Potamotrygon judging by the shape of it.
Damn shame though like Shadow says.
