Fader Bifasciatus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a wild barred midas. And a masterpiece f1 yellow race trimac. Also a red monkey fh. All mean fish

That male sure was a looker!

Interestingly enough, according to the older threads about the male, he came from a LFS that Don Conkel supplied. Also interesting, Conkel and Gage are the only people that raise these fish in ponds, and later have piebald and/or fader genes show up in what are supposedly pure species, such as the zonatus in this past thread.

Once, with a single species would be an uber rare situation. Twice, with two different species within the same Paratheraps genus, from the same ponds located on the same farm. Well that just makes me go hmmmmm.

Yeah its a weird situation like piebald fenestratus got in its blood.
But from the old thread I read the male bifa was said to be wild caught from mexico and imported.
I was the one who said the father was pond bred so I was wrong.
