Saw this guy on YouTube, love his overall shape, color and hump. They called it red devil.

Lol midevils are just hybrids between the 2. I see them being advertised as either Midas or red devil's or sometimes they even try to say that they are both the same specie. Lol idky I'm just not a big fan of the creamsicle coloration. Sometimes it's nice but most of the time I don't like it. I think it has something to do with the ratio of orange vs white. Granted I'm also not a huge fan of the color orange so maybe that's why. Either way just not my cup of tea. They still got a nice looking FH tho regardless of my color preferences. Can't wait to see how it ends up looking once it matures.

I dont have a trained eye. But I can see traits from the Midas and Red Devil here.

The guy in the photo looks like Midas FH cross. Could be wrong

Possible. Lol I wouldn't know for sure tho. I'm not too familiar with Midas or red devil's to know any major traits about them. Lol I still get them confused for one another.

Midas have shorter faces and taller stockier bodies. Red devils have thicker lips longer faces and an arrow shape. Even though they have those differences they still are so difficult to tell apart for me as well.

The fish were bought as firemouth cichlids when they were small. So the owner might have made a guess as well.

Not a huge fan of the creamcicle body color, reminds me too much of midevils I see at PetSmart but I do love the nice blue color in the dorsal fin. The pattern in the tail is also lovely, sucks that it doesn't spread or thru the rest of the fins as much as it did with the tail but still a very nice pattern.

Yeah the body color reminds you of a midas or red devil but this is a cross of Srd x Blood parrot...the color is changing from dark spots to cream cicle
