How can you tell if it's going to be a fader?

no real way of telling besides they get much lighter from the dark. My first and only FH turned out to be some kind of fader, looked just like every other ordinary FH until one day it darkened considerably and then within the next 2 months got really light based and colored. I`ll dig up a pic
