Fading process - your experiences

Mine started fading shortly after I introduced a lot of salt into the tank to treat for ick. Then progressed significantly after doing the same thing for another ick attack.

How long did your's take to fade then ? 8" is obviously late in life to fade but I'm well aware that it can happen almost at any point, although younger is obviously more common.

Yes, he was a late fader. It took him a long time to fully complete the fading process, but his offspring faded around 2".
