FAFT and Leichadti

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a VATF in 6,5 . (maybe it is a FATF)
He allways try to bite in the fins from his Tankmates ( Scomberoides, Polypterus, Gars ).
Also every fish in the tank wants to bite him when he is swimming around.
I think they are freaking out because of his speed combinated with the silvery color .
I had to seperate him from my main tank and i will not try it again.

If you add a powerhead with a strong enough current, your ATF's behavior will change completely. He / she will just be at one spot trying to swim against the current.

I have a tunze 6085 and the Filter pump.
When i add more current i dont think the other fish will feel well.
The other problem is his silvery color.
My dat is going crazy and wants to eat him, but he is the same size.
Maybe i try it one more time.

My grow out for ATF has been a 240 gallon with 1 MP40 (set to random). Currently I'm growing out scomberoids. It has worked out well because of the 'random' wave pattern. My datnoids like it and so do my silver dollars and my giant gourami.

I have this combo and it works great so far, no aggression what so ever. The lei is about 30cm (thought it was way smaller until I netted it) and the ATF is 28ish.

Thanks for the info my original 8-9 inch fatf got eaten by my endi unfortunately. I have a smaller 5 incher faft with the lei now doing great. Going to monitor the two closely. I think it helps that I have a group of 6-7 inch cudas in the tank.
